2. What VibeDex is

VibeDex is a free directory of UK businesses. It offers search by trade, town and postcode, a map view, town and trade landing pages, fuel price information and Vibe Walk street mode, which labels businesses around you when you hold your phone up. We may add, change or withdraw features at any time.

3. Your account

Some features need an account. Keep your password private, use a real email address you control, and tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity carried out under it. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or our acceptable use rules.

4. Listings and claims

Unclaimed listings are compiled from public and open data sources, including OpenStreetMap contributors, Food Standards Agency records, local authority datasets and public retailer fuel price feeds. Each listing shows where its data came from. We do our best to keep records accurate but cannot guarantee that any detail, including opening hours, prices or contact details, is correct or current.

If you claim a listing you confirm you are authorised to act for that business and that the information you supply is truthful. You keep ownership of the content you supply and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for layout and share it as part of VibeDex, including in search results and structured data. You can ask us to remove or correct a listing at any time.

5. Verified and accredited badges

A verified badge means we have checked that the person managing the listing controls a business email address for it. An accreditation badge means an owner supplied a scheme membership number, such as Gas Safe, NICEIC or NAPIT, and we carried out a reasonable check of it. Badges are not a recommendation, a guarantee of workmanship, or confirmation that the registration is still live today. Always check a trade's registration directly with the scheme before work starts.

6. Reviews

Reviews must come from genuine first-hand experience and must be attached to a signed-in account. Do not post reviews of your own business or a competitor, accept payment for a review, or post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading. We may remove reviews that break these rules, and we may pass information to a business or the authorities where the law requires it. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours.

7. Third-party trust signals

Where an owner supplies a Google, Trustpilot or Food Standards Agency link, we may show headline figures from those sources as a secondary signal. Those figures belong to the provider, may be cached, and may not match the provider's live page. We are not responsible for third-party content or websites we link to.

8. Our intellectual property

The VibeDex name, branding, page designs, code and compiled directory arrangement belong to The Sandpiper Group LTD or our licensors. Map data and unclaimed listing data are supplied under the licences of their sources, including the Open Database Licence for OpenStreetMap. You may view and share pages for personal or ordinary business use. You may not copy the database, scrape it in bulk, resell it, or use it to train models without our written permission.

9. Availability

We offer the site as it is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service and may carry out maintenance without notice. Vibe Walk depends on your device's GPS, camera and compass, on your permissions, and on the accuracy of underlying location data, so results vary in dense or built-up areas.

10. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of VibeDex, from reliance on a listing, or from dealings with a business you found through us. Any contract for goods or services is between you and that business.

If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights. Our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to GBP 100, since the site is provided free of charge.

11. Suspension and changes

We may change these terms when the site or the law changes. The updated date at the top shows when we last did so, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe someone is misusing the site.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers may also bring proceedings in their home nation of the UK.
