Accessibility

What we have built in

• Semantic headings and landmarks on every page, with one main heading per page.
• Keyboard access to search, filters, map controls, drawers and forms, with visible focus.
• Labels and accessible names on buttons, star toggles and form fields.
• Text alternatives for listing photos and decorative icons hidden from assistive tech.
• High-contrast text on a dark theme, and layouts that reflow down to small phones.
• A list view alongside the map, so nothing important is available only by pointing at a pin.

Known limitations

• Vibe Walk relies on a camera, GPS and, on some phones, a compass. It cannot be made fully equivalent without those sensors, so every business it can surface is also reachable through ordinary search and the listing pages.
• Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap and their labels are images, so they are not readable by a screen reader. Use the results list for the same information as text.
• Some imported listings have thin descriptions or missing hours, because the open data we load them from is incomplete.
