Business listing terms

Who may claim a listing

You must be the owner of the business or someone authorised in writing to act for it. By claiming, you confirm that authority and accept responsibility for what appears on the listing. We may ask for evidence and may reject or reverse a claim where the evidence does not stack up.

Cost

A standard listing and a claim are free. We will never start charging for an existing free listing without telling you first and asking you to opt in. If we introduce paid features, they will be optional and priced clearly before you commit.

Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of the text, logos and photos you upload. You grant The Sandpiper Group LTD a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, resize, cache and display that content to promote your listing on VibeDex, in search results, and in feeds we provide to search and answer engines. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, including permission from any photographer or person shown.

Accuracy and keeping details current

• Business name, address, phone number and hours must be genuine and current.
• Do not use keyword-stuffed names, fake branch addresses, virtual offices presented as trading premises, or numbers that reroute to an unrelated call centre.
• Tell us promptly if you close, move, or stop trading, so people are not sent to your door for nothing.

Accreditations and verified badges

Where you give a registration number such as Gas Safe, NICEIC or NAPIT, you confirm it is yours and current. We check it by eye against the public register before showing a verified trade badge. A badge is a statement that we saw the number on the register on that date, not a guarantee of workmanship, and it can be withdrawn at any time, for example if the registration lapses or a complaint casts doubt on it.

Reviews

Reviews belong to the people who write them. You cannot buy, edit or delete them. Incentivising positive reviews, writing reviews of your own business or of a competitor, and threatening a reviewer are all serious breaches and can cost you your listing. If a review breaches our rules, use the complaints and takedown process.

Third-party review links

If you add a Google or Trustpilot link, we may show the public rating and review count from that source as a secondary signal, refreshed periodically. Those figures come from the third party, are shown as they are, and their own terms apply. Remove the link and we stop showing the signal.

Suspension and removal

We may hide, edit or remove a listing, or close an account, where these terms are breached, where content is unlawful or misleading, where a business appears to have stopped trading, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable, we tell you why and give you the chance to put it right. You may ask us to remove your claimed listing at any time by writing to us.

Liability

VibeDex is a directory. We do not vet the quality of work, arrange contracts or take payment between you and a customer, and we are not a party to any deal you strike through the site. We give no guarantee of enquiry volume, ranking position or search visibility. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged on the listing dashboard. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
